Emily began her journey with piano as a young child, learning at home with her mother as her instructor. As a teenager growing up cross-culturally overseas and assisting in her mother’s in-home teaching studio, she fell in love with the way that music transcends cultural and linguistic differences and connects people from diverse backgrounds. Her passion and desire to see others develop a similar love of music led her to obtain her bachelor’s degree in Piano Pedagogy from Bryan College in 2016. She launched her teaching career soon after, teaching private and group lessons in West Tennessee for seven years before moving to Huntsville at the beginning of 2025.

With personal musical tastes that span a wide variety of genres, Emily is excited to be able to help her students follow their interests and find their musical voice wherever they feel led, building on a strong, classically-informed instructional foundation. She especially enjoys teaching teenagers and adults, showing them that their unique passion for music is worth pursuing regardless of age, talent, or professional goals.

While Emily’s professional focus has always been piano, she has also received training in voice and cello and enjoys both recreationally. She is thrilled to be adding her unique experience to Huntsville’s thriving musical community.
